Busy day for me and the mini mads

We are off to Natures world this Am, need to pack a picnic
Then for a walk and shop with another friend this afternoon

So to do

Picnic
drop ironing at mums
off we go

On the way back I need to collect completed ironing

Gib Make sure you get lots of pain killers for her - she should not be in pain, there are lots of options for her. You know where I am if you need me

Now date night We need to sometimes remind ourselfs of the need to have sex in a relationship. I am one to talk - I am kind of like an old lawnmower that takes a few goes at getting started , but then I really enjoy it. It is the first thing that gives when you are busy with all life has to throw at you.

So tonight I think we should all make time for ouir partners, even if it is just to talk though our week and remember why we fell for them in the first place.

good morning mad, you are a wise-owl! My night out with a friend tonight has been cancelled so I will make dp a nice dinner and we can have a drink or 3 and a (non-euphemistic) cuddle and a film.

BiancaCastafiore · 17/04/2009 10:33

So far behind with FLYing and everything FLY related but I'm really missing the threads so thought I'd say hello again

TMH Quite right
I made time for dh this morning ...it's been months but we're s l o w l y getting back on track with making sure we don't forget ourselves in amongst the rest of the muddle.
Other than me working tomorrow till mid aft we have a quiet last weekend of the holidays planned Dd is away with the Brownies till Sunday so we'll be taking ds to the local natural history museum and a few other boyish activies

grouchyoscar · 17/04/2009 11:25

Hello Ladies

Thanks for the support re DH's employment situation. He was contracting for 1 company and TBH, they have right royally stuffed him over (again) He's signed up with a load of agencies and it's just a question of waiting for a job to start really. We've cancelled the SKY channels, sorted out cheaper mobiles, re-organised the cable package, the DD to the power company, cancelled some homeserve policies and are looking at 0% card transfers. All we can do is sit tight tbh.

Made a few calls this morning and

Up and washed and medicated
Make bed

To DO

Get dressed
Lunch
Sort out dry and wet washing
Hang up wet stuff
Ed to Sports training
Sweep kitchen
Sweep front room
Vac rug
Vac staircase
Sweep bathroom
Mop kitchen
Mop front room
Mop bathroom
Make Pizza dough

and general flapping about.

I'll catch up on the thread bbl

grouchyoscar · 17/04/2009 11:28

Mad you are a wise old sage

gibbberish · 17/04/2009 12:46

Very good advice mad. With all the chaos going on around here lately, dh and I havent had much time to think about one another.

dd1 saw practice nurse this morning who says is all looking well and dd1 seems much happier today She does say that her wound is 'mingin' but is coming to terms with it thankfully.

Loads and loads to do today due to having done nowt with all the streams of visitors.

Done:

Tidied all downstairs
Cleaned kitchen
Made my bed

To do:

Downstairs -

Hoover
Dust
Clean flooring
Clear small bathroom (still full of party stuff)

Upstairs -

Tidy all rooms (groan)
Hoover
Dust
Swish and swipe bathroom

Off to download some pics of the party first...

PHOTO ALERT! PHOTO ALERT!

Have put some pics of the girls and the ball on my profile

prof don't blame yourself. If it is of any help my sister's ds underperformed and got into trouble all the way through primary. Sent him to high school and he has excelled at everything! Has just flourished. Infact, he is in first year and is working on fourth year work in English

So even if she is having a hard time atm it's not too late for it all to turn around when she moves to a new class.

lol at her wanting to call childline

Still can't believe it went so well - the kids were just fabulous. Def doing it again next year. Was an awful lot of preparation involved but worth every second

lol me too Organise the works events throughout the year for the company I work for and it definitely was good training. You should have seen me on the night with all my lists and notes in a binder and everything worked out down to the last minute. If people didn't think I was a control freak before they certainly do now

It did help though! Do have a list of things I would change slightly for next year and have a few ideas for new things. Sure will find the next one easier because know what to expect now.

grouchyoscar · 17/04/2009 14:44

Hello again

Gib Pleased everything was as well as could be expected for DD. You have 2 beautiful young ladies BTW

Done my to do list (well DH delivered Ed and then made lunch) I also

Vacced Ed's room
Vacced the bedroom

I've downsized my mobile package and now I have a groovy new touchscreen phone !!! How does that work out? Better for less?

SKY movies and Sports have gone. I listen to the radio mostly anyway so no loss there.

Grouchy is downsizing! Though I'm tight anyway so how I can get tighter is beyond me. I could hunt the squirrel I suppose. Better check recipes for ideas

Better get Sports Billy

Thanks bythepower and grouchy. I think they are gorgeous too but am slightly biaised

Well done grouchy on all the downsizing! You will probably save a small fortune.

I tried to phone 3 today to check the date my contract ends. Why did I bother??? Am going to have a heart attack after calling them one of these days. Told me that my 12 mth contract is actually an 18mth contract (no it is NOT - had this exact same argument when I renewed this time last year) and my contract isn't with '3' it is with Dialaphone (no it is NOT - renewed over the phone with 3 who I have ALWAYS had this contract with). Argued for ten minutes about both of these points before they insisted I must speak to Dialaphone. So I obliged, phoned Dialaphone who said I have not had a contract with them since 1997 and that was through O2, not 3!!!!!!!!!!! Sick of it. Ask a simple question get told a load of !£@@@%*$.

Ah well, the fury gave me the energy to hoover and clean all the floors downstairs.

Off to my sis for a little bit for a cup of tea to calm down. Be back later x

gibbberish · 17/04/2009 18:33

ehm what a shame you have to rehome the cats

Will you get any other small pets?

(btw are lots more pics if you click on the 'pictures' link)

EHM · 17/04/2009 18:42

gibb it proving difficult to find a rental property which will allow pets I am hoping that the Cats Protection People can find foster Homes for the pets. Pictures are fantastic buy the way!{smile] SIL not yet had baby she is booked in for an induction 1 week today & my friend is due 23rd. so we will be visiting not long after I think.

EHM · 17/04/2009 18:44
