Hi. We are new to N Power, changed over last year. Pay monthly 55 pounds.

Our last and only bill we have had from them was from May- oct last year and it says electricity was 148.94 debit and balance is 8.94, gas 57.30 debit and balance is 158.70, total cost of 206.24 and account balance is 149.76 (sorry my pound sign is not working!)

So we must be due a bill at some point and im wondering if we will get away with just having used up our credit or if we will get hit with a massive bill on top.

dont know if there is anyone out there who can help me?!

At the end of the winter you should owe them money because over the spring & summer months you will use far less than £55 per month so pay it back and store some up ready for the next winter. If you have used far more than they expected then they will increase your monthly dd. HTH

Ok thanks. I was worried we will be lumbered with a huge bill to pay but do they just put up DD then?

We also have a letter that says 55 for gas so im assuming electricity is more as I thought we were paying near 90 per month.

The letter says we will get a statement twice a year so not sure when to expect the next one.

If you owe them money they will just increase your payment. For example if you owe them £120 they will divide that by 12 and add it on to your monthly payments so your payments woudl go up to £67. They will not ask you to pay the difference in one payment. I am with N Power and have been for some time. I joined them in the winter months and so for a while i owed them money until i got to the summer months and it evened itself out. I will say however that i was in credit of about £100 and they refunded me the money and then went on to put my payments up by about £6 per month!!! i rang them and they reduced them back to what they previously were!
