BO smell on jumper - how to get rid of it?

I have a jumper that I love and wore it on a flight a few months ago. I hate flying and was a sweaty, shakey mess for the flight.

I've washed the jumper a number of times since and although it smells ok when it comes out the washing machine I only need to wear it for 5 minutes and it starts smelling again. Definetly the jumper not me now!

Its cotto nand bright colours so what can I use? Thanks.

Either dry cleaning, or a quite hot wash? 60 degress or more? might shrink but you haven't got a lot to lose have you?

I think a soak in right sort of vinegar should help. I can never remember which sort though, but I'm sure someone else will come long and tell you.

soaking in soda crystals worked on my shirts. Not a whiff since.

I thought I'd heard something about vinegar.

Will try soda crystals for now. I am hoping something will work before having to resort to a 60 degree wash as I don't want to shrink it. Thanks.

this is probably too late but with DF's work tops I tip a bit of white vinegar directly on to the armpit area and wash in normal wash - seems to work!
