Zone this week is the bathroom + one extra room.

I will post my zone list tomorrow for anyone to use and abuse - I am not upto a zone clean yet

One thing I will be doing once I am well is baby stepping again.

We have an action packed day planned for today.

We are going to walk up Roseberry Topping (I will just walk a little way) and then we are off to the Club for the childrens easter party.

I have decorated DS1 a hat this morning and I also have had to mop the floor, as the cat has been very poorley and I am letting DH have a lie in (first one in over 7 weeks)

TMH Roseberry Topping brings back lots of lovely memories of when I was a kid. Enjoy party at the club.I am sure dh will appreciate his sleep in

We thought it would be a good walk for the boys and when I am fit we can do it in 45 mins, but it would possibly take me 2 hours.

For anyone who is interested it is not a yummy type of pudding, but a hill with great views on a clear day like today

everyone-else Hope you all had a lovely Easter Sunday, and wendy hope the wedding was fab!

Well Easter dinner for 15 went well yesterday thankfully! Timer on oven worked while we were at Church (phew!) so lamb was cooked LOL
All the kids loved having their grandparents and aunty and cousin. easter egg hunt was great fun! Despite my efforts to limit chocalte and sweets they still all ended up with far too much,(brought by grandparents mostly...sigh!) and managed to eat too much without my noticing, and poor DD2 was sick yesterday evening ( now she believes me though when I say too many sweets will make you sick!!) Despite that though a good day was had by all, and all in good form today!

On a slightly sadder note it seems that FIL is not doing too well at the moment, and seems to have gone downhill again in the last week. We were planning on going over to see him in the May half term, but the thinking now is that we should go sooner as he may not last till then So in a bit of a last minute decision we are off to Ireland tomorrow. FIL will be in hospital till the end of the week, but MIL really wants to see the children and Dh thinks it will cheer her up, then we will get to see FIL for a day before coming home (which is actually long enough with the children given his current state of health)We havent told the children the full story yet, although they know he had been very ill, but will need to talk to the older ones today to explain it to them. They will be veryupset , especially DS1 I think , so that will be hard. Also a bit worried about when they see him as he is apparently so ill looking, but we feel the older ones should get to see him before he dies.So all a bit really. Still the DC are very excited about goingto ireland as they always enjoy it, so just focusing on that.

Have LOADS to do today now as a result! Loads of washing....need to pack... whiz round house to clear rest of yesterdays debris and leave it in a decent state!
Also need to make a big casserole with leftover lamb to freeze (was going to do for a couple of nights dinner this week LOL)
And no doubt a million other things....

Also need to look after DH who is quite down about everything obviously.

So best get on with it!

May not be around much for rest of week, but hope you all have good weeks and will be back next week some time.

Wolf hello, Ed and dh have been up til midnight the last 2 nights and DH is back in bed now too

Yep, I have a not very well DH. I feel it is self inflicted and he needs a damn good detox. DF and his DP were round yesterday and we all ate too much, It was roast duck and so scrummy, I couldn't stop munching . I did the tidying up last night so thankfully the place was not caked in a thin layer of congeeled duck fat!

My list so far is

Up, wash, meds
S&S loo
S&S bathroom sanitaryware
strip and remake the bed
Down with laundry
Load WM and run
Empty DW , reload and run
Put away
Empty WM, load and run

It's a lovely day and I better not waste it. TTFN

We had a fine time and have just got in, DH is mowing the lawn and then I need to change the boys for the party and feed them!!

galen - I understand what a difficult situation it is with your fil. I am having the same dilema with my stepmum (when/if to visit, what to say etc). I hope you find the right words to say to your DCs and that the visit goes well.

Spent today washing, pegging out, hanging up, taking in, loading the TD unloading and carting upstairs. And there are only 3 people in this house

I've also made a bread and butter pudding with hot cross buns for tea.

Fed up of coming into the front room to find it covered in lego. OK, so the City coastguard stuff and the sea plane have been rebuilt but I can't get in!

OK, thank you for letting me whinge and moan. I'll pull myself together

Busy day at work today and now I need to put my feet up!

GO I can totally sympathise on the room full of lego! My whole house is full of it!

prof take lemsip and book to bed, don't move until you feel better the latest round of colds and viruses seem pretty hard to shift

Was grrrrrr with dp earlier but after a bbq a deux and a lot of booze I'm not quite as pee'd off as I was.

Back to work in the morning for the first of my last 4 days in current job.

I have had the best Easter hols ever

I will post some pic tomorrow, but we scaled to the top of roseberry topping the hard way and DS2 walked the whole way up and down, had a picnic, then home and off to the Party.

The boys have danced the night away and are now both tucked up on bed.

I am sore and tired, but it has been so worth it.

I drove tonight and let DH have a guiness - first drink in 7 weeks too, as well as his lie in. Bless him.

Hi all
I am just home from the new house - spent the last 4 hours painting (again!) I am absolutely shattered.

Wedding very good except someone else was wearing my dress!!! How very dare they. It made me laugh but she looked pretty fed up about it!

Had egg hunt at SIL's house followed by tea there, spent all day at the new house and yesterday too - am so tired ... off for a bath.
