There never seems to be a good time to mop kitchen ,Bathroom and porch at the same time.

Just before a mamouth sesh on MN! Reason being, I can conveniently 'box' myself into a corner, where the PC is, so there's nowt else to do, other than MN!!

Last thing before bed, or just after DS goes to bed and I know I don't need to go in for a while

I do mine with boiling hot water so it dries really quickly. Then I can do it at any time of the day. Sometimes I do it a second time so it's really dry. Keeping the window and door open helps it dry more quickly too.

Every Christmas without fail - whether it needs it or not.

Not nearly as often as I should...

I sweep the kitchen everyday but only mop about once a fortnight or after a spillage, slate is very good at looking clean.
The bathrooms get done once a week, and the wood floor gets e-mopped once a week in the dining room and daily in the hall.
All done when dc are happily wii-ing.

FourArms I'm puzzled as to how more mopping means quicker drying?

probably about once a month, if I'm honest. it's black/grey mosaic patterns so the dirt doesn't show up as much. I just use cheap disinfectant.
