Looks like we're all having a bank holiday lie in! Good, we deserve it

Don't know what Kelly's attitude is to FLYing on public holidays but dust will still fall and I'm sure she has a mission. I'll have a look BBL

Morning all

I did too much the last couple of days and couldnt move this morning. Poor DH was hoping for a lie in

All is calm in the mad house though and we are planning a peaceful easter.

We are taking mum to costco at newcastle tomorrow
Having an easter rgg hunt for the boys and cousins on Sunday (thanks to galen on that one)
Munday will be childrens party at Bro and SIL's club at 6.30

I popped in to the club yesterday and it was lovley to see Baby L's memorial garden really coming along - all the hard landscaping has been completed and the top soil etc comes over the weekend.

His memorial bench has arrived too, along with a number of picnic benches, other benches and tables.

It is going to be a fantastic place - sort of like a really child friendly bear garden without any toys

It is amazing the generousity of folks - The club is in a really deprived area, but they have fund riased and donated loads - it has really made things for my Neice, who is trying really hard to keep moving forward. RIP Lincoln, it seams quite apt that a lot of this is happening at Easter.

Morning all
Thanks for thread grouchy ev hi

wolf sorry bout early start!

mad TAKE IT EASY!!! Hope you have peaceful day.Dont know the story of baby L but the garden sounds a lovely peaceful place.

Things not so good in the galen household this morning.

Ds2 and DD4 both have a tummy bug DD4 been sick twice, DS not been sick but his nappies are not pleasent (sorry TMI!)
Both are looking quite sad and in need of lots of cuddles.Although both are now actually asleep so hopefully that will do them good.
Am really hoping they are both better for Sunday and that none of the others go down with it. Easter dinner for 15 would not be good with sick children....
Am on 2 hourly handwashing patrol and bathroom bleaching frenzy in a (no doubt futile!) attempt to stop the spread!

Anyway other than that we're doing OK

have just done egg painting with older DC's now to clean up mess and un-dye my hands LOL

Have also blitzed most of upstairs...so feeling better

need to make choc fudge cake later...
was meant to be church this pm, but think I'll be stopping home with the poorlies....

So better get on with something useful...

hope everyone else is OK
BBL maybe!!

Hello All

We have been to the inlaws and the boys have had loads of fun on the tractor and then fish adn chips for all from the chip shop a real treat.

DS2 is napping now and DS1 is having some quality time qwith his daddy.

galen I hope that the germs dont spread and that you are all OK.

Baby L was my neices little one - he was born by crash section and deprived of oxygen due to an error at the hospital he fought through the first 3 weeks of his life, but had CP. Sadly he died the week after his christening at 6 months old of a cot death. He was an amazing little boy, a real light and he brought joy into everyones lives. He espeically connected with all the other children in the family, who loved him so much. This is a fitting thing to have to remember him by.

grouchyoscar · 10/04/2009 15:08

So good that Little L will be remembered in such a lovely way Mad Hope your neice is bearing up.

DH is finding and rebuilding Ed's Xmas Lego and it looks great. I've spent most of today watching kids films (Bee Movie...WTF is that about? Same goes for The Wild, gave up with both of them)and cuddling Ed (when he's not trying to help his dad) I've been constructivley potterring and S&Sing where needed.

After the bank hols I'm going to make a start on getting my personal statement and self assessments sorted out. A few hours a week should nail it for September
