Bottom butter in the carpet - help!

So DD decided to liberally coat herself and the carpet in bottom butter last night. Oh yay. What's the best way to get it out please? I'm thinking iron and absorbant paper, since it's oil. Wouldn't soap and water just spread it about?

Is bottom butter some kind of nice moisturising product, or is it a euphemism for something else ?

Waitrose bottom butter - goodness, surely everyone has heard of it? I think I'm one of the few women in the UK who actually use it on their baby's behind rather then their own faces (apparently 'tis the miracle skin care product of the year!).

Basically it's olive oil in a cream (butter) form with camomile and vanilla in it too.

Best I can suggest is How to clean grease from carpet from howtocleanstuff.net!
