My washing machine was broken and the clothes were in the machine for over a week, is there anything I can use to get rid of the smell. Have used fabric conditioner

wash them again on as high a temperature as they will stand - do a prewash if necessary as well. Use fabric softener. Then hang up to dry immediately in a well aired place.

Might take a few attempts.

I hate this. I had a cotton jersey as a teenager I washed myself but completely FORGOT (I was 16 and easily distracted). It was a nightmare to get the smell out.

wash clothes in warm water and Bicarbonate of Soda and then hang them out to dry.... it works, I promise!
