Dylon Disaster - Help!

Hi everyone - I am new to this forum so apologise if this is in the wrong place or has been answered before (I couldn't find anything).

Just dyed up a few white items with Dylon Machine dye - lovely pebble beige colour .... but when I took them out, both items are covered in pigment specks - all colours of the rainbow. Not the first time it's happened. The fabrics were good for dyeing and the colour is lovely .. apart from these really annoying specks!

If anyone has any tips of how I can correct it, I would be so grateful - short of dying them black - they are ruined

Thanks xx

Did you add enough salt? And how many items in the washer at once?

cremolafoam · 07/04/2009 13:52

this might work

unless they were really small items you have probably tried to do too much at once, did you weigh them? i have found one garment is about the limit.

Thanks everyone - yep - I followed the instructions to a T - have dyed up before successfully. There were 2 small items - under the maximum weight. Colour has covered them beautifully apart from the speck disaster! Thanks Cremolofoam - think your suggestion is the next step x
