Cleaning feather and down mattress topper

I have a king-sized feather and down mattress topper that says it can be washed and tumble dried. Of course my domestic machines are nowhere big enough to take it. Does anyone know if a launderette would have machines big enough, or would this be a specialist laundry-type thing?

I would expect launderettes would have a machine large enough. I hope so as I need to get mine done too

I have two, and they both need done. I loooove them.

sighs happily

We recently got one of these down mattress toppers, actually the top layer is down and the bottom layer is feather, its absolutely to die for.

I was certainly planning on taking it to the launderette when it needs cleaning as their large machines should definitely be big enough.

I have the same as you and mine have been to the laundrette with no problem in the past. You should check dry cleaning prices against the cost of laundry as the tumble drying of such a large item is expensive. Usually my dry cleaners will charge a good £5-£6 less than the laundrette.
