LOL Bums won't help keep your carpet clean

In fact, give it up, you'll never keep it clean with that lot. Either get a dirty beigy grey one or make everyone live somewhere else!

Cover it in plastic?!

You need to go a bit Zen and become at one with the dirt.

And buy a lot of rugs and coasters.

We have just moved into a house with cream carpets everywhere, including the hallway . They are immaculate. No doubt in 6 months they'll be covered in muck, but then we'll take them up and put down something more wipe clean sensible.

2001 carpet spot cleaner - comes in a yellow spray bottle. I have light sand coloured carpet in sitting room and dining room and kids and two dogs and have no stains thanks to this. It even got rid of red wine that had been knocked on the floor, plus dog poo and other delights!

cheesesarnie · 06/04/2009 13:05

oooh thankyou-will look for it
