Help! does anyone know how I can get black eye shaddow out of a cream carpet before my dh sees it?

I was putting my make up on getting ready for work (one of those selection type boxes of makeup) and I dropped it and it shattered all over the carpet. I havent scrubbed and tried to pick it out but it looks a state. If anyone know a clever cure it would be much appreciated.

oh golly. you might need to read the ingredients, I think they contain wax or something?

I'm tempted to say WD40 but it might make it worse.
