Very sad (in the sense of being rather pathetic) but I have to share............

I got my new rotary washing line last week, DH put the spike in the ground at the weekend and I've just used it for the first time.

OMG - it's fantastic - I can put the clothes on at a height that's comfortable for me (as I'm a short arse) and then simply raise it up high out of the way when I'm done

It looks verrrry nice out in my (messy and needing some TLC garden)

ooooh it sounds like a posh one if you can adjust the height!

FAQinglovely · 01/04/2009 10:59

it's a very posh one - I got fed up of cheap ones that went saggy after just a few months, didn't have enough space for when I do a manic day of catching up on washing and looked crap - so I splashed out

and I do struggle to get excited at house keeping stuff LOL so this is quite something for me

I have a posh one too (same make as peoples luxury bins?) I love the fact it has 4 sides not 3. Easily please arent we

FAQinglovely · 01/04/2009 11:02

ahh yes that's the one bronze - I've got the more expensive of the 2 60m ones they do (and I also have the posh bin as well ).

Although I went for the more expensive of the 2 as it had a slightly smaller diameter across the diagonal and as I have a rose bush and a shed to contend with wanted to make sure it would fit LOL (well that's my excuse anyhow and I'm sticking to it)

Oooh, which one is it? I need a new one, so could do with a recommendation.

FAQinglovely · 01/04/2009 11:10

it's this one - although I'm now rather p*ssed off because I ordered it 2 weeks ago and it wasn't in the sale then WAAAAAAAH (and warning it is very expensive ).

LOL I got a cheap me from tesco last year and was so not impressed!!

FAQ.......did dh cement it in the ground??

FAQinglovely · 01/04/2009 11:13

no he didn't - he whacked it in using a piece of wood from the garden and a rock

SoMuchToBits · 01/04/2009 11:13

Oooh it looks lovely - will have to save up!

bronze · 01/04/2009 11:14

I'm sure we paid nothing like that
Ours has the smartlift thing but also four of the poles. Its really strong just make sure you put the base in the ground straight (grr dh)

FAQinglovely · 01/04/2009 11:15

bronze is it this one you have then?

OP posts:
GypsyMoth · 01/04/2009 11:15

Bloody hell girl!! That's expensive!!! Make sure you buy one of those covers to protect it!

bronze · 01/04/2009 11:16

looks like it

I should really be filling it not discussing it

MamaG · 01/04/2009 11:16

Gah
I have nagged my DHJ for months to put me a washing line up. HE did, it hailed. Next day it was fine, I hung the washing out, it fell down.

FAQinglovely · 01/04/2009 11:17

I don't need a cover - it came with one (and it's not those horrible cheap plastic ones that rip easily either ) (it also goes 6cm higher than the other 60m one of the same brand - and 6cm makes all the difference when you're trying to keep clothes out of the grubby hand of a toddler
