How do you organise your medicine / first aid cabinet?

Mine has lots of stuff in it which is great when anyone is ill or injured...but it's a right mess and takes up 2 big shelves!

Is there a better storage solution?

I keep this stuff in clear hard plastic shoe boxes on top of the kitchen units, safe and visible but not glam.

I am thinking of getting some clear boxes myself...not sure what size to go for though
