Hello. I have a plasticy shower curtain and one of the rubber bath mat things to stop you slipping in the bath.

Just wondering how hot I can wash them at? I usually wash cold but DH has been bathing DD recently and doesn't rinse it or put it to dry so it has started going a bit mouldy. Was wondering if I could put it on a hot wash? What would be the best thing to clean it? I have some nappy san if that would do?

I don't want to melt them in the wash!!

Thanks

I do our bath mat at 40 and it has survived so far.

Both of ours say a 30 limit. I think the bath mat would be ok at 40 though (think I've done that once without an issue).

top tip - is remember to take it out after each bath (even if a few hours later) and hang it over the bath to dry. I found leaving it in the bath was a quick route to needing a new one.

I do mime at 40 (haven't got 30 option on washing mashine) the bat mats loose a bit of their grip on the floor but neither the curtains nor the mats have melted.

Furball thats what I usually do but as I say DH has been bathing DD recently (I shower at the swimming pool most of the time so don't use it much) and he hasn't been doing it which is where the problem has come from.

I might soak in the bath tonight in milton then. Can I ask how you get it from the bath to the washing machine without getting everything wet? How man milton tablets would I need?

I never put mine in machine I just scrub 'em in the bath and rinse.

Shower curtain is plastic and would get ruined.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Dettol Mould Remover spray is good stuff.

The washing machine won't ruin a plastic shower curtain. I always do mine in there its just that it is dirtier than usual.

Sorry - I don't do scrubbing unless really needed! Plus I am 37 weeks pregnant and I am not bending over a bath to scrub it.
