Dd needs to iron a white net tutu for tonight and there's some brown burnt on stuff on the bottom - any quick ideas very gratefully received!

Warm the iron up then unplug wipe with a damp flannel carefully.

Usually works for me I got loads of burnt on carpet (don't ask) off mine by doing this.

use a brillo pad
or a scouring pad on a warm iron and a bit of bio washing powder
or iron over a damp teatowel, if you can't get the bits off

or you can buy one of those little white stick that look like lipstick. Warm you iron, melt the stick on your brown burnt bits, let iron cool, wipe with clean cloth, et voila!

You can find those sticks in John lewis or robert dyas
