kenwood dishwasher driving me potty- HELP!!!!

Right i have a lovely stainless steel Kenwood dishwasher thus

It is now 13/14 months old and up until now has behaved impecably. BUT it has now taken to beeping a lot and flashing E1 on its display. Some gentle googleing told me that this is a water inlet problem- which sounds ok. It doesn't always do it- i know the water inlet IS working because it sometimes stops right at the end of the programme when dishes are washed but not dried. All thge helpful posts around te internet tell me to check the water inlet- now me and dh are appliance-phobes and wouldn't know the inlet from the outlet.

So for all this waffle what i want to know is- would you contact dixons/kenwood and moan about sale of goods etc (should last a reasonable ammount of time- not just outside the 1 yr warranty [smells a rat]) or swallow the costs of a man to come out and tut at it??

you need to get someone out to look at it

the inlet hose is the one that comes off your water supply and feeds the appliance
can you not pull it out and have a look?
is it damaged, or blocked?
can DH really not do stuff like this?

appliances do need maintenance you know, to keep them going!

yes the pipe works, we know that much but i was not going to start unscrewing the damn thing!!

Have spoken to Dixons and they are aware that this is a recurring fault with this model and i should call their customer service team on monday.

So it seems that it is a manufacturers fault not a maintenance issue.
