We're slowly on the mend. ILs coming today so need to do a quicky tidy up downstairs but it doesnt look too bad.

scatty I am very crabby some times. I hate myself after wards. Partly why I am going to see therapist. My family call me crocodile
wendyhave a good time. I am sure you will Oh I know that stir crazy feeling. hopefully now dd's finger is ok you can take them out together especially if weather improves.

Right well I had a lovely lie in here today - after fairly grim day yesterday with very sad , poorly DS, and highly annoying DD4 ( who was bored cause we didnt go out, and acting up as DS was getting too much attention...sigh..)
So house a disaster as a result! Did bake lots of yummy stuff though! And remembered to order repeat of anti d's BEFORE they ran out LOL

So today lots to do:
General tidy round - may take a while!
Washing catch up
Lots of clothes to sort in bedroom
Order cake mould for DS2's 1st B'day!
Order present for DS1's B'day
Ammend tesco order
On line banking
Oh boy lots else - just dont know what!

Right off to see to DS2 who is whinging again
DD 3 and 4 running round in swimming costumes playing swimming!!....chaos all round - oh help!

Galen, sorry you had a grim day yest.
Mine was perversely pleasant, with dd ill verysweet and undemanding, no activities to drag anyone out to, and a bit of telly! I think our tellybreak has worked, everyone knows how to play again and how to entertain themselves. Ds2 made himself a starchart (and then went to make his bed LOL at 4.30 so he could put a star on it)
Ds1 and I spent a lot of time singing very loudly a song from his forthcoming school production (Bryan Adams Everything I Do-o-o)Dh calm and happy to find us all goodtempered.
Went to bed early too.

swan not sure what I was looking for Ds2 - but having browsed things like teddies and Number 1's have decided they are way too expensive! So square or round cake it is LOL. He is 1 on April 1st (our little April fool baby - he was due on March 13th mind you!) but doing B'day and mini tea party (more for other kids enjoyment!) at wk/end!
DS1 will be 11 on 17th. He wants an Electric Foil (fencing sword thing!) as he is really into Fencing! Need to think of something nice to get for pressie for DS2 as well actually... we already seem to have sooo many toys in the house!

Feeling a bit abandoned/disregarded DH at his precious 3rd Division football match and Ed doesn't want to do anything I planned, just play on the DS I just mustn't be all that interesting after all.

Oh FLY wise I have

Up and take basket of wet washing to hang up
Hang it up (after taking dry stuff down)
Dry stuff to bedroom for putting away
Have brekkie
Load WM and run
Go downtown (get told off for wanting to buy Ed a pack of pencils with my money ) Get family travel pass for future trip out.
Go pick up the bits of shopping DH forgot on Thursday (also get a duck for easter sunday tea from the reduced section to stash in the deep freeze)
Home, make lunch
Put away dry washing
Mend the washing baskets
Empty WM and sort for drying
Load WM and run again
Sweep kitchen
Sweep bedroom
Tidy shoes
Dust bedroom

I'm feeling a bit overtired and all overish. I could do with a nap but Ed needs an adult here I suppose. Ah well, mustn't grumble.

We've had a nice day here. indoors mostly
Ds1 was fantastic in concert and loves singing
dd has reverted to slightly grumpy rather than just poorly saintly
Cooked two delicious meals using my veg box (can't remember if they were what I menu-planned though)
tidied vaguely
read last chapter of Secret Seven to dd so boring I fell asleep and so did she..

Tommorrow will have to be a bit more active.

Busy day trying to tidy and get things in order befre holiday. Not helped by pump on the central heating finally dying, and flooding the kitchen Thankfully dp will (I hope) be able to replace it when we get back so only a couple of days with no heating

Early start here today - though thanks to the hour DS2's 5.30 am wakenings will be transformed to 6.30 - more reasonable at least!

House in quite a state - freezing horrible weather yesterday meant a lot of children spending a lot of time in the house = chaos!

wolf hope your feeling brighter today. FIL is not doing too bad. he has just come home from the hospital, which is great news. He is still very weak though, and prognosis remains fairly bleak, but at least he is at home with his family now.

Church this morning....DH playing organ again so lots of littlies to mind on my own....sigh,... not sure I feel up to it but still!
Then need to do a bit of whole house recue I think
Also going to buy paint for dining room this afternoon with the aim of getting it decorated before Easter!
Stressing slightly now about Easter dinner for 13! (7 kids and 6 adults!) not so much the food but where to fit them all LOL
Also trying to plan Easter Egg hunt for 7 that 1.doesnt cost too much and 2. doesnt involve too much chocolate/sweets/sugar!Thinking of some mini eggs, then some small plastic eggs to collect and exchange for a tasteful, nice, cheap gift.... now just need to find all of the above LOL

Hi all! Galen I have a birthday cake book which has instructions for baking cakes in normal tins and how to transform into numbers - I do numbers every year for mine and they're good - I could email you a photocopy of the page for a number one with the raised bed article if you email me your address lol - do you need my email address again?!

Well, had a really really good day yesterday after all my whingeing about it! We went in a Hummer limo up to Harrogate to Betty's - had two glasses of champagne in the limo - and ate nice food (although the veggie choices at Betty's are very limited! ) and did hen party type things to do with stories, photos and funny anecdotes etc. Limo to Leeds to Harvey Nicholl's bar - yummy gin cocktail there very relaxed. Cold but not too bad we were soon inside. West Side Story at the theatre - by now we were all flagging a bit and all ravenous - it was good though, then posh Italian for yummy aubergine cheesey bake (I love aubergines!!) and home at 12.30! All very lovely and met some really nice ladies - nice to dress up, relax and talk to people in an adult like way! God I miss adults!

Not dressed yet better get going. Quiet day today, may play with children in the garden and do some packing in the garage. Keys on Friday!!! Need to go to the bank first thing tomorrow to arrange bank money Chaps thingy but hopefully (don't mean that quite as it sounds!) DS will be back at nursery tomorrow. He is looking forward to it.

galen you could blow some eggs and paint them to hide along with some choc eggs etc and what about some small toys (car, little rabbit etc) hidden inside papier mache eggs? If they'll help you make them it might be fun.
