Help, all my dishwasher crockery stinks of fish!!

We had fish last night and we washed all the plates, frying pans etc. in the dishwasher - and now everything that was in the dishwasher stinks of fish! I've cleaned out all the filters so there are no bits of fish left in the machine and I ran it all again on the highest setting but it still all stinks. Any ideas? What about washing it all again with one of those dishwasher cleaners in (as opposed to running it empty, like you're supposed to with the cleaners)?

Take all the crockery out, run the diswasher with one of those cleaners, halve some lemons and put them in the cutlery baskets at the same time.

The rerun your dishwasher on the highest setting with the crockery insitu.

We get that when we wash things that have had eggs on. Seems to taint everything with a wierd smell......(not of fish obviously!)

Top tip, never ever put a pot with mashed potato remains into a dishwasher, it coats all your glasses. Soak it over night first.

Oooh, and I have just done exactly that! Well, it's with sweet potato, assume that's the same? Will take it out straightaway, thanks!
