They are ignoring the traps with choc raisins

What alt bait can I offer?

I heard on here that they love peanut butter

Bounty (coconut stuff covered in chocolate, not the kitchen towel) was the most effective thing I ever used. Some people swear by Mars Bars or peanut butter. I think gooey things seem to work better than not gooey.

My rentokil man said white choc was best. I found choc eclairs were good, because you could wedge them onto the traps really well, and wee blighters couldn't make off with them.
After our kill rate with sweet things slowed down, we got another good wave by putting bread and marmite on the traps.

Thanks
Might try the Bounty
Don't really want to do peanut butter (nut allergies) but really want to kill the mice

mars bars
garibaldi biscuits

Just raisins did it for us.

EldonAve · 23/03/2009 20:07

why did I have to get fussy mice?

Seriously. Try marmite. Do it for a few days, then change it for something completely different. Then you get the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it.
(Speaks from two dead mice, twice a day, for three weeks, experience)

tuna worked a treat for us as well as peanut butter (jar in cupboard still just in case they come back!)
