Help!! How do I get rid of the smell of sick...??!

DS2 vom'd on his bedroom carpet two nights ago. DH dealt with it - am a little as to how thoroughly tbh - but it is still really stinky despite vigourous treatment with Oust 3-in-1 spray antibac stuff and now bicarb/essential oil having been put on top of the offending area overnight...any tipes would be most gratefully received.

vinegar and neutrodol, also could try shampoo

We borrowed a Vax which helped, but DS2 had vomited numerous times on the carpet, the bed, the cushions etc...Bicarb is the most effective I think.

Oh and we used a steam cleaner on the car seats
