Can anyone recommend a good stain remover?

I got our old Amby baby hammock down from the attic ready to try to sell it, and it has two sets of stains on it . There are black mouldy looking marks on the bit that the bed hangs from, and then it looks as if something has leaked onto another bit. It says handwash, which I am a bit dubious about as it is 100% cotton. But anyway, how would you go about getting those sorts of stains out?

I would try soaking in vanish oxy action stuff and biological detergent such as ariel
