Morning

Hope to catch up with everyone later. Our power is off from 9-3 today while the elec board cut some trees which have grown into the elec cables running near the house. I can't do much at home so I'm going in to help at school for the morning then have my appt regarding the lump on my neck after lunch

Hope everyone is well x

EustaciaVye · 10/03/2009 07:59

A bit awol at the moment.

Just popping in to say to MAD - it is VERY early days. You may find about 2 weeks after the surgery things start to fall into place. You have had a huge surgery and your body will take a while to cope with that. Speak to your consultant but you have to allow your body time to heal physically and emotionally.

Take care xx

ShannaraTiger · 10/03/2009 08:21

Morning all

Quick visit.
TMH take it easy, give your body a cha;nce you'll get their eventually.
Hello to everyone else.

Hardly any FLYing being done Dd off school again today still got loads of catarrah from last weeks cold which makes her sick in the morning so not allowed in school. I've a toddler group meeting and toy tidy this morning. At least I'll escape the house yesterday I was starting to turn into devil Mum, my patience has evaporated with the new tablets,. Not sure which is better Lamotrigine so chilled out can't remmeber anything and kids get away with murder OR Keppra so wound up feel like I'm exploding at every little thing!!

Dd woke up at 5:15 so I'm going for a 10 minute power nap in order to survive the day.
BBL hopefully happier and with it.

Jas · 10/03/2009 08:41

Morning

Good luck with your appointment later Bianca TMH Still thinking of you lots. I would echo what the others are saying.... speak t the cons about your concerns, but also give it time, the op was a huge deal and it will take a god while to settle down even if it goes perfectly.

More tiling today
DP has been home fr months and I am in total agreement with GO and whoever else was less than happy. He is DRIVING ME NUTS!!!(I did mean to shout)

swanriver · 10/03/2009 09:33

Hope you got your nap Shannara
Bianca and TMH hope doctors listen
DH is in a bad mood today, up all night (he couldn't get back to sleep)after we were woken a 4.00am by another wet child(child back to sleep quickly just not dh..)

Everyone seems to be shouting this morning in our house and in last two mins before school ME [blush). I've now determined on a no shouting in kitchen rule - child goes straight outside door. If only I could apply same technique to DH.
Beware of what you wish for as well, ds1 won't get dressed because he is so busy playing his violin, dd is doing her homework/Pencilcase assortment so beautifully she won't get ready for school, ds2 is a world of his own playing finger puppers with carrots and leeks.
AND NO-ONE WILL BRUSH THEIR TEETH or FIND THEIR TIES (and I did lay them out the night before)

Tiling - Jas WHAT COLOUR are your tiles?

swanriver · 10/03/2009 09:35

puppets not puppers

afternoon all I posted this am but the computer appears to have eaten my post

mad I hope you are feeling a bit better today
bianca good luck at the docs

Hello everyone

had a very early start this AM as dp had to be in the Midlands by 10am so I am bog-eyed

done
dw unloaded reloaded and on
washing up done
washing machine unloaded and washing hung up
sheet stripped of our bed and put onto wash
quick tidy of living room and kitchen
ds up dressed and fed (usually dp's job)
recycling into outside bin
kitchen surface and worktop round sink cleaned
ds taken to granny's

i'm sure there was something else but I can't remember, it certainly felt like more than that this morning

to do on way home

post letters/parcels
get diesel before car chokes to death
pick ds up

Not sure what's for tea tonight - I think it might be cheese and potato pie but that depends on how knackered I am later. Like galen I also need to do the mission

swanriver · 10/03/2009 15:15

Bought some party food and general supplies
Sent important letter
walked
made (almost) pizza dough

not really getting very far today

off to school now for pickup

grouchyoscar · 10/03/2009 16:02

Evening ALL

Still sending good vibes to TMH

Hello to all and thanks for the thread EMH

I've had a hellishly long day. A catch up morning of maths, dinnerlady stint and an afternoon of maths. Just got home. I think all that DH has done is take some dry washing upstairs AND I have to do homework/tea/bedtime/butties on my own as he and BIL are off to watch 3rd division football

Tomorrow it's letters and sounds then home, back, dinnerladying and reading friends

wendyredredrobin · 10/03/2009 16:48

Hello everyone, only just getting time to check in. I need to get up earlier (like you Wolf so I have more time! is dp home tonight?

EV good to see you hope all well
EHM thanks for thread
dyls well done on the 85%! fab

Phew!
Well I've had a busy day doing just the usual - toddlers, baking, cooking, flying and playing with toys. Both ds and dd are really tantrum prone atm and it's driving me mad - I don't feel like we get any calm time. they are playing nicely outside now, though, in the sunshine. I got them new sand for their sandpit at the weekend and got round to cleaning out the old one and refilling it today so they are enjoying that. Peace and MN and then I've promised they can watch Mister Maker at 5pm before tea.

Will prob bbl. Dh will be watching football tonight so am looking forward to just chilling out. May make oatcakes and catch up on some TV I've missed, then bath and read my book!

Good news on house today, the vendors' survey on the house they're buying has come back, so we're only waiting on the solicitors now! I am getting very excited but still trying not to obsess and make too many plans or lists

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 10/03/2009 16:58

afternoon all, just logging in to say hi.

Things not great here - Mum has been over and done some ironing.

Hope you are all well, and TMH hopeyou are being kind to yourself, it is still really early days.

may be back later.

wendyredredrobin · 10/03/2009 17:08

Hi Greyskull - doesn't sound too good, hope you are ok

swanriver · 10/03/2009 17:35

Greyskull, is it a feeling or has something happened?

I'm feeling a bit hopeless/paralysed today - where is the time going? But now pounding pizza dough which is making me feel a bit better, floury keyboard. Have ordered some themed stuff for party, balloons etc. That's good.
Rolling out pizzas now and making sauce. Kids at their Tues club.

I would be so excited if I were you Wendy! Hope survey good!

Grouchy, he may just be having down/rest time before next risky endeavour, like a hunter? We do more corn grinding/tuber pounding than hunting I suppose.

Ah Mad Men tonight.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 10/03/2009 18:19

sorry ladies, am feeling sorry for myself.
nothing has happened please don't worry.

grouchyoscar · 10/03/2009 19:14

Swan I have a feeling if DH was the exclusive hunter I'd be an enforced vegetarian

OK I have

Find a bag that DH can take examples of work to his interview tomorrow
Made tea
Tidied away
Made lunches
S&S worktops
Load DW and run
Tidy front room
Spellings and reading with Ed
Get to bed

I'm really rather tired now! Night Night

galen · 10/03/2009 19:15

evening all
wolf also had early start here - DH up at 5.30 and left for work at 6.30, so on my own this morning too, and he's late back so bedtime on my own as well....sigh...hope your evening is going smoothly!
wendy I think the better weather will do a lot for the moods of many small people! Mine are always so much better when they can play in the garden! (oh and havent got round to carrot cake yet LOL)
grouchy you always do so much - you are truly impressive!
ruby hope your busy evening goes well.
greyskull hope your feeling brighter
swan parties can be a nightmare. Sounds like your doing well though. Hope you have a smooth evening

Washing mountain away YAY!
Been to playground
Reading ALL done
All bathed, new books read for story time, littlies in bed - thankfully!
DS 1 just gone fencing with just returned DH!
Now to chill a bit, Mn, then reading, then bed!

To do tomorrow:
