Washing down paintwork (emulsion)

Hello all. I am feeling all spring clean-ish and am working my way through the house at a leisurely rate. What do you all recommend for washing down the paintwork on walls? It's that Dulux wipe-clean emulsion and I have wiped it, but it's not like I do it often so I think I've just wiped the dirt around.

Thanks, in advance.

would it not come off the walls if you washed rather than wiped it, iygwim?

Hmm, but I'm not sure I do gwym!
Should I be using a mild washing-up liquid solution?
Cheers! (And sorry for being so slow on the up-take.)

lol, I meant, would washing the walls wash the paint off them? Sorry, I wasn't very clear, looooooooooooooooong day with the lo yesterday

If it were me, I'd try the mild washing up liquid somewhere it's not going to be noticed (behind sofa or somewhere like that) so that if it does wash the paint off the walls,at least you're not going to see it & no-one will know

have you tried looking on the dulux web site to see if they have any cleaning/maintenance care advice for that type of paint?

lucysmam · 10/03/2009 17:27

did you try it? How did you get on if you did?

rubytwokids · 21/03/2009 00:05

Am am embarrased to admit: no, I have yet to try it.

Will get around to it and let you know.

Am lol at your clarification, lucysmam
