Aagh chewing gum on jeans!

I am a slovenly mummy and managed to get my own used chewing gum down the back of my jeans today, I have put them in freezer, how long does gum take to freeze before you can scrape off or is there a better solution? TIA, would be my GAP pair, not cheapo ones!

Leave them there overnight and see if it comes off in the morning.

You can just put an ice cube directly on the area and that usually gets it off pretty quick in my experience.

Thanks guys, neither worked however I found a great remedy - heat up malt vinegar and pour on the gum then gently brush in a circular motion with a toothbrush and the gum peels off - no stains!
