i would love to have one day where someone appeared at my house and i could feel nothing but pride when i bring them inside. as it is i only ever panick about what needs hidden before i can answer the door.

not me, I have that feeling to would love to answer the door at any time of the day and welcome whoever it is straight in!

Always feel I am making apologies for having a big sort out/spring clean/decluttering sesion etc etc

pagwatch · 03/03/2009 13:38

I do. But tis because of my cleaner.
But when i answer the door I am sometimes about the state of me

Rhubarb · 03/03/2009 13:39

No.

Disenchanted3 · 03/03/2009 13:40

Never

oh, except once when I did a massive clean out ... that lasted about a week, lol.

pagwatch · 03/03/2009 13:41

actually that was a really bad admission to make on a good housekeeping thread. ...didn't notice....

nickytwotimes · 03/03/2009 13:42

I am most of the time, but dh and I are borderline OCD so it'd not worth it really.

breaghsmum · 03/03/2009 13:43

lovin the honesty pagwatch, at least you can be proud whether its cause you have a cleaner or do it yourself.

my house is never that tidy. my mum was a total housekeeping freak. her house is perfect. ihave never seen a speck of dust but it is dull as fuck. this was brought to my attention when my neice opened her christmas prezzie from me ( a pottery wheel) and said " i will take this home nan cos i know you dont like mess".

moral to this story is be messy and be happy.

i remember not being allowed to make a mess as kids but having time of our lives when dad looked after us.
