Hang on will check on mine....
add quinoa to double vol of water - cook for 10 mins or so til grains start to separate, then take off heat, cover and leave to absorb rest of water.

You wash it in a sieve first, to get the little bits off, then dump it in a pot with some salt and water, boil like pasta and then drain - boil for 10 min and then test for done-ness, it should be "al dente", like pasta.

I personally don't like the "double the volume of water and let it absorb" method, I find the quinoa gets too watery, but maybe I just don't do it right... I prefer to drain it when it's cooked.

Have only cooked it once, so tbh am not really sure myself - I'd go with jacksmama advice in that case!

I love quinoa. So healthy (plant protein). And you can make it sweet or savoury. Yum. I'm def. not an authority on cooking it though, only that I've found for me it turns out crap if I cook it like couscous! But somehow I can cook couscous!
