urine on mattress - advice please

hello

my little one wet the bed in the middle of the night last night and a small amount went onto the mattress. i soaked up what i could with tissue to get it out. there is no mark on the mattress but there is the smell. i was thinking of cleaning it with damp cloth and washing powder/water but i don't want to leave a water mark as there is no mark at the moment at all. i have no vac 1001 wonderfoam which remove smells etc and is brilliant but just wondering whether i should clean it first or just use foam? what would you do/use if this happened to you.

I always scrub the matress with water and disenfectant (sp) to get rid of nasties. not bothered about leaving a water mark, more bothered that I'll get stench out. Can't help anymore than that I'm afraid, hopefully someone else will be along shortly.
Oh, and stick down a Pampers bedsheet from now on! DS 5 and not wet bed in years but won't take the risk!
