none, they're over rated and crap and expensive to repair

Meile Cat and Dog, best thing I ever bought and recommended by which as well

dizzydixies · 14/02/2009 16:28

sorry, that didn't really answer your question though!

there are many threads on products re dysons and hoovers, you might want to search for them and see if any are more popular than the others

Second the Miele Cat and Dog, never had a Dyson though. Mum had one but changed to Miele Cat and Dog when it broke

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 14/02/2009 17:41

Ive got a DC 14 which I love no experience of a miele, It came with a few extra attachments which help.

Think it's just a case of sitting down and working out what your budget gets you.

Is there a dyson webpage to help??

I have the Dyson ball and LOVE it, have never used a better cleaner and that is with 3 cats, baby, and childminding. BUT I can't get on with the stair attachment thing so also have a chargeable hand held dyson which was about £100 but I love it too and is fantastic for clearing up after kids.

Geepers · 15/02/2009 17:05

I have a Dyson Animal and love it.

Neeerly3 · 15/02/2009 17:12

i have the DC25, roller ball thingy, for all floors. Love it, it works as described and the ball makes it so easy to steer round furniture for those quick cleaning days and the attachments just slot together really well so even an intense clean is dead quick.

One downside, short cable, i used to have a VAX which had a very long cable and i could do all of downstairs from one plug socket, now have to switch between two. Small price to pay for such a clean house.

I brought a new dyson a couple of weeks ago.. was planning to buy the ball one but it had a small dust collecting cylinder thingy ... (can't think what the proper name is or even if there is one)...

after trying them all out in the shop I brought a dyson DC14 love it love it love it... its got lots of extra attachments, long cable, and long hose.

argos have it read the reviews

dylsmum1998 · 15/02/2009 18:53

Dyson ball, love it , manages dog hair great.

Timeisablindguide · 17/02/2009 22:57

Get a SEBO instead - much better.

champagnesupernova · 17/02/2009 22:59

aandme - can I ask how old your dyson is? Mine seems to be dying and I'm wondering if it's due to age. think it's about 9 years. SUrely a vacuum should last longer than thta?

Yeni · 18/02/2009 12:01

I've just got the DC24 and I'm very impressed with it. It is so much lighter and easier to push and lift than the DC01 I used to have. It is great on hard floors too.

Our DC02 is still going strong too. It's about 10 years old and hasn't failed yet. I don't like bagged vacuums. I'd never remember to buy bags and with a dyson I can just tip the dirt straight into the compost bin

The dyson website has a "help me choose which model" section.

bananapaddlepop · 19/02/2009 18:42

I've got the animal dyson - upright one.
I have a large wolf-y dog who sheds ridiculousy and it's brilliant. Never missed a beat. Had it about 4 years now.

aandme · 19/02/2009 20:07

Champagne - mine's about 4 years old now
