Questions to ask a potential cleaner

I'm meeting a lady on Monday who may become our new cleaner.

Our last cleaner was recommended by my MIL, so I need a few good questions to ask this lady.

Any ideas please?

She needs to do skirting boards, wash down walls, and wipe the occasional smudge off inside windows.

Are you going to tidy before she arrives, or do you want her to fold clothes, pile books/magazines, etc?

This is the key to a good cleaner/employer relationship. Do you want her to tidy and clean, or just clean?

And two hours a stint is enough. Any more than that, and you won't get value for money.

I think we'll do the tidying, just want her to clean but to do it really thoroughly!

We'v got a 4 bedroom semi. with wooden floors downstairs and 2 bathrooms. Do you think 2 hours will do it?
