following on my chair /furniture placement dilemma the other day......come and give me your honest opinions

I think I've got all the furniture sorted in the living room now.

it's sort of got 2 "halves" to it one end has the sofa and TV.

The other end has the computer desk, the bookshelves and both of the recliner chairs.

I know it doesn't look fabulous, but right now I can't see any other way of doing it.

So - there's a photo on my profile - to the left of the photo (literally next to the chair on the left) is the computer desk, with phone on it.

Should I leave the bookcases apart like that, or should I shove the bookcase on the left of the photo over towards the other one and buy a lamp to sit next to the chair?

I'm think that chair could be quite useful for me sitting in reading stuff for my OU (with the desk next to it) so lamp might be quite useful.

What do you reckon - does it look really stupid???

I think I might have put the bookcases together and the chairs together but it is hard to say without seeing the whole room...

I think pushing the bookcase up to the other one and buying the lamp will look just dandy!

It looks ok now, but would look better how you suggested.

well so long as it doesn't look really silly as it is then I'll leave it - but move the bookcase on the left up so that it's at 90 degrees to the other one and then have to find a nice lamp, so I can sit in the recliner and study hehe
