How do I get my washing nice and soft?

And, no i don't have a tumble drier!

i have to dry it on the radiators and sometimes it's really hard and rough once it's dry.

I use good quality washing powder and softner.

Afraid i'm not a regular ironer either..

What do i have to do to get things nice and soft, esp towels and baby's clothes.

Any tips please.

Drying on radiators is the pits.

Can you not hang your washing on a clothes horse near a radiator? It will make a big difference.

my washing is supersoft always

i line dry it on a VERY high washing line (which dries stuff so long as theire is a slight breeze or ray of sunshine, and even dried 2 loads this weekend), and use a glug of white vinegar (that you CANT) smell instead of fabric softeneer

also using soapnuts will make your washing softer naturally

soap nuts have always made my washing supersoft

I second going for a clothes airer instead of radiators and a glug of white vinegar in the fabric softener bit.
