You know those room fragrancy thingies that are liquid with reeds in them?

I bought some from QVC and they've run out (not that great a smell anyway) and I want to re-use the bottles and reeds to diffuse some nice scents.

The liquid was somewhat oily and I have essential oils but I'm not sure that mixing it with water would work at all - maybe alcohol?

Anyone know how to make this?

No alcohol- it will soak up too quickly. Aromatherapy olis should be fine, not sure what else with.

I think you can buy the liquids for the reed things seperately at the body shop.

There was quite a lot of liquid - about 50mls? and it was runny so not all oil - if it was all oil it would be massively expensive.

I could just use a carrier oil with the essential oil but it's definitely not runny enough.
