Recommend me a washing machine please...

I love my current machine an AEG Oko Lavamat but it is 20 years old and it died today.
I need recommendations (or a motor for that specific machine, anyone, ANYONE, no I thought not...)or someone with a which? subscription to help me decide on a new one. It needs to be under £400 and available at Currys so I can do finance on it. I am afraid of LCD displays. I really just want it to wash properly, be A energy rated, and have all the normal stuff; wool programme delicates etc.
Any ideas please

my local independent store always recommends Bosch and Miele, I should think you can get a Bosch for around that?

I like Bosch (I dream of Miele!) anyone have one they particularly love?

Idea: do the which online 30 day trial. They rate washing machines and other appliances. But be sure and cancel it, otherwise you pay!

(I have a Bosch. A brilliant 15 minute cycle, but LED display....)

i have this bosch one

Though have tbh we bought from independant store (shop model) for a lot less than this. It's fab though. Did have a slight problem with display at one point but bosch were very good to deal with and sorted it straight away under warrenty. My brother has a miele though with 10 year warrenty

My step mother just bought a Miele and you can't hear it spinning at all and she fully expects it to last 25 years plus like her last one !
ilove can you do the trial more than once, I have already done it when in the middle of pushchair fever....?

Just bought a Bosch Logixx from an independent that was closing down . Apparently the Logixx versions are made in Germany, the cheaper ones are made in Poland (according to the shop).

It is lovely. Would have loved a Miele but they only do 6kg loads and with 4DSs I wanted a bigger load.

I am a bit put out having to pay extra for a 5 yr guarantee though.
