How can I clean the cooker hob?

Its got some burnt bits on it. Whats the best cleaning product for it?
Can I use an oven cleaner or would that ruin it?

NO to oven cleaner!!!

"Hob-Brite" available in all good supermarkets.

Must be pretty bad then... SLATTERN
Soak the hob top/leave a soggy cloth on it for an hour or so, then try crem cleaner again.

Its a pretty bad burn! I don't even know how it happened and its around only one ring of an otherwise pristine hob, I'll have you know!

Will try your recommendation

Im a real bore on this subject but I love Bar Keepers Friend - its like old fashioned powdered ajax - great stuff.

I thought we were going to have to replace our ceramic sink it had so many marks on it, one rub over with BKF and it was as good as new.

You can get it in Robert Dyas and on EBAY.
