Slattern alert. Is there such a thing as a person/company who will do your washing as well as your ironing?

I know it seems really lazy of me but it's disorganisation and sheer volume of clothing. I have spent all day sorting out clothes. I have about 6 bin bags full of clothes that can be given to charity shop etc but they need washing as well as ironing. I'd also really like to get our own washing up to speed so that I can keep on top of it now I'm back at work.

So I really want someone to come and pick it all up in a van, deliver it back washed and ironed and I'll hand them some money....

I don't know, but when you have it sorted, ask everyone in the family to wear an item more times before putting it out for washing so it doesn't build up so quickly.

Whereabouts are you? There are at least 3 companies in my area that do this. You could probably google for one in your area. Otherwise just drop them off to your local laundrette for a service wash as I don't think you need to iron things for a charity shop, just tumble dry and fold would be good enough.

I'll do it for you.

Have googled and can only see ironing services. I've tried to get DH to wear things like trousers more than once but he takes no notice. It's me as well though. Am in Surrey btw.

I don't think I've ever seen a Dot Cotton in our launderette

Doesn't know if Surrey is too far from me

I've used Starshine in the past, they're based in Kent so I'm not sure whether they're too far from you. The do pick-up and drop-off on specific days for my part of London (Mon and Thurs I think) and they charge by the kg for washing and folding. It comes back very nicely folded and doesn't need to be ironed IMO.

You'll laugh at my clothes theresonlyme, and you'll tell everyone I buy them from George at Asda and what size I am!

Well I have clothes from Sainsbury's and are a size 14 so there!

Seriously, I would do it for you. Give me something to do tbh.

And I wouldn't tell a soul anything.
