What is the best way to clean a pram/pushchair hood? It doesn't come off to bung in the wash.

I didn't buy it new so I don't know what has caused the mark.

Its a M&P Pliko (if that makes any difference!)

When the hood of the pram gets wet, a large patch appears which is darker than the rest of the hood. It looks awful.

Whats the best way to clean it?

can you unscrew it to take it off? We thought ours didn't come off on a Graco but oh found screws so now it goes through the washer regularly.

Don't know if you're meant to but it gets the job done. Maybe not such a good idea though if still under warranty which ours wasn't when we got it from a friend. Think it voids it if something goes wrong.

Other than that, how about a soft brush like a nail brush & some soapy water & leave it open to dry near a radiator?

No it definitely doesn't come off. Nail brush and soapy water worth a go.

HI! try ace gentle stain remover...you can buy it in loads of places, i clean everything with it...plus im a bit pram mad ( 21 in 24 months)so needed to keep them all clean, that always worked.

anothermansmother · 22/01/2009 10:45

other than that it could be a grease stain so try fairy on ut and give it a good rub with a damp cloth. i went mad when someone got grease on my pram hood, but that got it out!

MamaG · 22/01/2009 16:38

Thank you. Did you use neat Fairy or diluted? I'll try that and if it doesn't work I'll get some ace
