Wendy my shoes are like friends to me. I remember where I bought them etc. Sad I know.

DH is now home and taking on the mantle of parenting . He has just come in and said "they are not being particularly naughty, but they are bloody noisy"

My DH is parenting, I am MNing! Can hear lots of screaming so think that it is the same here! Must get ready to go to yoga, need time out tonight!

galen · 21/01/2009 18:36

Evening all
wendy sorry you've had a rough day. Dh's can be a pain! Hope you enjoy yoga
mad hope youre chilling ingnoring loud semi undressed DC!
ruby well done on a good day!

Well today was just one of those days. Whole asda business set me off on the wrong foot.
AF has also arrived with a vengence. Only second one since DS was born and the'yre hitting me really hard!
DS also decided to have a clingy/grumpy/probably teething/non sleeping day, which always means that DD4 decides to have a limpit day and permenantly attaches herself to me for around 12 hours!

So actually really dont know what I got done.... did get some washing away, kids collected from school and art club, kids all fed proper meal ( boy I love slow cookers!)
House not too disastrous despite lack of obvious FLYing today.
Not doing anything other than basics tonight. Will read my book, and get early night ...(again! - last nights earl;y night was spoilt by an impromptu bed change at 2am for DD4 as DH forgot to put her night time nappy on AGAIN grrrr!)

Didn't get round to baking today so may do tomorrow....think I may postpone tomorrows planned swimming trip... like the thought of a long walk though - will no doubt rain no I've said that...

See you all tomorrow!

Enjoy yoga Wendy - sounds like you need a break.

Went to storyteller after school (at school) he was really good.

I am feeling pretty grim myself too now (have finally succumbed to this cold), so no more flying tonight.

grouchyoscar · 21/01/2009 18:43

I have finished my TO DO list and

Emptied WM
Sorted for drying
emptied DW
Put away
Done homework with Ed

I'm really out of sorts today, everything seems annoying ATM. DH is at home mostly at the moment so, nice as it is, he is clutterring the place up a bit. Ed is too...Edish... to co-operate in anything that doesn't involve console games or bad cartoons. I know I should put my foot down but, I'm too tired for an arguement with a boy with his own agenda

Laters ladies

evening all mad meeting was terrifying, tried my best to keep calm but was shaking, sweating and about 30 seconds away from a panic attack the whole time I was there.

I am feeling very poorly and sorry for myself this evening, in pain and also seem to have a cold which is a bit of a pain in the bum

done
made dinner (which no-one liked)
cleaned kitchen surface again
collapsed in heap on sofa

Just popping in to say hello to everyone

Have to iron four items of clothing for tomorrow then I'm off to bed

Wolf, Grouchy & Galen (from yesterday) yes - I can see that writing everything down does make it more rewarding - also good to show dh's who have the temerity to ask "what have you been doing all day?". Actually, pinning up the list so dh can contribute is prob a good idea thinking about it ...

I'm OK with shoes wierdly - tend to have a system whereby one new pair comes in - an old pair goes out.

Wish that was the case with paperwork - it's all over the place in the Counting household Swan. We have a dedicated study which should mean it's all organised but in fact there's just more space to mess up...it's my very worst room ... just thinking about it .. got to get a grip

Night all

You are very brave to have got through meeting Wolfcub.
The planets were badly aligned this afternoon I think.
When we got back from various things at 4.45, school meeting, ds1 athletics, waiting around in freezing park for 20mins, squabbling over flapjacks etc, dcs were so bad tempered (except for dd who had a lovely relaxing day at home that after 20 mins I gave up and PUT THE TELLY ON for 3/4 hour. Hurrah for executive decisions. Then homework for ds1 easily accomplished, vp and supper.
Then Dh came home and took over whilst I went to Beavers. Kung Fu Panda watched.
And everyone went to bed in a good mood!

Wendy, it is so difficult to get out after the dcs' afternoon nap in winter, I remember it well that horrible feeling of knowing I should now be revving up for the final lap, but not being able to face another expedition. It's bad enough getting to the park for 20mins after school. I just want to go home, hide and eat toast with them.

Thanks IVCoffee for good tip.
Scatty and Galen sleep well.
Ruby, would love to know answer about dresses. I or a relative always ends up buying from M & S or Monsoon for dd. Sometimes lovely and special sometimes a bit dingy imo.
