Washable waterproof fabric?

Hello all

I want to make some nappy-off time mats for DD. I have made a couple already (nicked idea off another thread) which have fleece on top, towel in the middle then a waterproof layer on the bottom. For the waterproof layer, I just searched waterproof fabric on ebay and bought a metre of that nylony stuff that tents are made out of. They were brilliant to start but seem to have lost all their waterproofness, so I'm assuming I've washed it out

Can anyone with a bit more knowledge about this kind of thing recommend a fabric which is waterproof but washable (ideally available from ebay or online)?

TIA

You can get water reproofing spray

PUL (Polyurethane Laminated Fabric) would be ideal, it's used for nappy wraps. It's not advisable to tumble dry it as that can destroy the waterproofing. It's very quick to dry though. You can get it here, it's almost at the bottom of the page.

Thanks We do have some waterproofing stuff for our tent but not sure whether it'll be all that good for (PFB) DD plus presumably it will just wash out again. PUL is a fab idea, thanks

I'd be dubious about using the waterproofing stuff too TBH PFB or not
