how to wash suede boots?

ds had an accident and his timberlands got wet. how can i wash them? am i right in thinking they cant go in the machine?

you can buy suede cleaner from a shoe shop, don't use water or it will mark it, and you will get tide marks and if you put them in your washer they will probably wreck it!

you need some special suede cleaner and a stiff brush too.

thanks all, shall go this afternoon and purchase. hate the thought of binning them.
