Hello fellow flyers ... thanks for thread EHM. Just checking in! Quite upbeat here because first and second floors looking noticeably better, and have managed to keep up with baby-steps despite various lurgies in Counting household ...we are taking it in turns to be ill. So far, so (really) good!

Have a great weekend ...

TheMadHouse · 16/01/2009 08:01

Morning

Thanks EHM For the thread. I also need to hoover the car, but it is raining here

I am taking mum to get a table and chairs for her new conservatory this morning and then collecting DS1 from Preschool and off to the chioldren centre.

In between all that I need to:

Tidy house for the weekend
Clean car and remove car seats in prep for Strictly
Mop floor

Get script from GP's
Write list for tomorrow
chase up Amazon order - dispatched again

scattyspice · 16/01/2009 08:05

Morning thanks for the thread ehm, sorry you've all been poorlu counting (but well done on the flying!).

To day:
mission
pop to shops for food
laundry
ds reading

Dylsmum - LOL at your ds.

tort - I love that style. I had hair like that when I was younger, I found it needed washing and styling every morning (though doesn't take long to do) otherwise when you wake up half of it is flat and half stiking up lol (but I have really fine hair, yours might be easier).

BBL.

Hunnybun. Hello

swanriver · 16/01/2009 09:07

and hello EHM

BiancaCastafiore · 16/01/2009 09:09

Morning

Thanks for the thread EHM Enjoy mini-moovers I need to sort our car too but it's a foul wet day here so I don't think I'll be doing it today.
I like the haircut Tort, I can imagine it'd suit you
Hope you're all on the mend counting

The kids and I had haircuts yesterday - the first time ever ds has managed to sit nicly and not make any fuss at all - hooray!!! I had a v slight change to my usual cut but it's hardly noticable (less layers) and even dd had a couple of inches off her v long hair ( but it was her choice and it does look nice and grown up)

I have nothing on today. No work; no kids to deal with; the house is looking really quite good (although I could sort some more in the spare room I suppose )
I'd like to go into town just purely because other than going to work I haven't left teh village for 2 weeks

Both kids have friends coming for tea after school so I'll get some pizza dough on later too

Back later x

swanriver · 16/01/2009 09:30

Sounds a lovely day ahead Bianca .

BiancaCastafiore · 16/01/2009 09:46

could be swan, but in reality I'm bored and tbh, lonely

I've decided to clear a cupboard in the hall...it's dh's get-in-from-work-and-dump-the-contents-of-my-pockets cupboard and has needed doing for a while.

galen · 16/01/2009 09:59

Morning all!
Things not too bad here this morning.

Done:
all up , dressed, fed etc...
Brekkie cleared
WM on, finished, emptied, nappy wash on
shone sink ( didn't do it last night cause I was so tired and I left slow cooker dish soaking
mini 1/2 hour blessing - swept floors , quick dust all round, quick hover all round
bathrooms S&S
beds made
No dinner made - Friday is easy tea night - something out of freezer!

To do:
Mop downsatairs floors
Clean washing to put away
Sort out car ( bad mess!!)
maybe tackle our ensuite shower room
Tidying in our bedroom (again - how does it get so messy LOL)

Finally feel house looks reasonable ( not counting DS1's room - my project for nest week - and our en suite)
Hoping to start on some missions and maybe some zone cleaning next week now my routines are getting going
Can't believe what a difference it has made to the state of the house - really pleased - and amazingly I now spend LESS time cleaning/tidying etc... Much easier to keep on top of a clean tidy house - Great!

Right off to play with dd4....
BBL!

galen · 16/01/2009 13:06

Afternoon all
bianca I have days like that too. (though never any that are child free so don't really have time to get lonely!) but days of feeling a bit bored and bleugh. Agree the weather doesn't help. Dreaming of long summer days in the garden...

counting sorry to hear about poorliness - hope everyone is on the mend.

dylsmum enjoy dinky dancers - and teddybear making sounds great - Dd would lilke that

swan sorry bout DD's ear - glad she is bright in herself though! Really quite enjoying this flying thing !

everyoneelse hi!

Well slight change to plan here this morning. Ds2 decided not to nap ( think he may be going from 2 to 1 nap a day...) so couldn't do car...(or was that just my excuse ...)
Decided to clear off mountain of rubbish from top of our wardrobe instead as Ds was happy playing in the cot as long as I was in the same room!
Also managed to get our en suite shower room done - boy it was bad!
Feel good now as only have DS1's room left to do before whole house is reasonable ( well with the slight exception of utility and obviously the garage doesn't count )

lunched all
Cleared away
DW on
Clean washing put away
Ds now napping
Mopped downstairs floors
having MN break before plucking up courage to tackle the car - must do before school pick up cause we're bringing home DD1's friend and quite honestly it is an embarresment LOL!

Right, sun is out - kind of... must go do car.....

galen · 16/01/2009 13:08

mad sorry to hear about soup stop...good luck with the car - want to do mine after yours??!

bianca YES - agree with mad - definitely time for nuber 3 - great idea LOL

bbl, have lovely afternoons everyone

BiancaCastafiore · 16/01/2009 13:37

@ time for number 3 - would be lovely but it's not going to happen....

Once I got motivated I've managed a really productive morning I have still managed to avoid the hallway cupboard but I've spent all morning sorting the spare room and have loaded the boot of our car with donations for the charity shop
I've also just agreed to take on another day a week at work starting after Feb half-term

Tiem for lunch now and then long walk round to school

swanriver · 16/01/2009 13:49

DONE
rejigged tables
moved all mess into one heap and took deep breath
slowly and methodically sorting out kit (not cupbds)
put away shopping methodically in fridge
and cupboards
swept floors
made beds
brought down all laundry and put load on
found last mth's bkclub book when tidying bedroom
put all reusuable supermarket bags in one place so that I remember to reuse them.

NOW
make lasagne sauce for w/e
(fried potatoes and sc egg for supper & salad) dh left over cass and toasted polenta
sweep porch again
lie down sothat I am in a good mood

Countingthegreyhairs · 16/01/2009 13:53

Ahhh - thank you Scatty, Bianca, Galen for all your good wishes - we are all feeling much better now thanks, hope everyone else is lurgy free too

and hello to Wolf and EHM and anyone I have missed

Bianca - are there any good evening classes/activities going on in your village or nearby or is there anything you've always really wanted to do and never had time for??

Agree SwanRiver - now I'm on day 16 I'm amazed that certain routines are really taking hold without an enormous effort of will ....hope your dd's ear gets better soon

LOL Dyslmum's candy floss and Madhouse's Futility area (I have more than one of those )

Congratulations everyone on a good week's work!

Tortoise · 16/01/2009 14:12

Afternoon all.
Hair cut done. Obviously don't look as good as Posh spice but i think it is ok. Going agin next week for a bit of colour to lighten it up. Real treat for me to do something for myself.

Front room fairly tidy and i had a sort out in DS1's room ready for his new bed.

Scatty Mine needed wetting and styling every morning anyway. It goes like a big sticky up pile of fluff when it has been washed lol!
Bianca Well done for doing the spare room. Nothing there you could car boot and make your self some pennies to spend/save?

EHM · 16/01/2009 14:15

countingthegreysorry to read you've all been poorly.
swanriver hope dd's ear is better soon.
bianca enjoy your day.

I've read the thread but have memory span of gold fish today

Have a great afternoon all.x.x.
