Getting Science museum "science putty" off clothes - is it possible? Why did I think it would be a good present for my boys?????

Is it chewing gumish? Would putting it in the freezer and peeling it off frozen work?

Perhaps you could contact either the manufacturer or the Science museum. They might be able to advise you. I'd be appalled if the Science museum sold a product to children that wouldn't come of their clothing without at least a warning!

I managed to get my son's shop-bought goo off with vinegar.

This all sounds very familiar! We visited friends over Christmas where Father Christmas had bought their children Science Putty each. My son's lovely White Company pj's are stained with black putty on the knees and my daughters special cuddly bedtime rabbit has orange around it's ears. No tips on getting rid of it as obviously I failed with the usual methods. It seems to have industrial strength staining power!

Petalpower, I wouldn't mind but i recommended my mum to get it as it looked so good. ds1 managed to get it inside a bandana thing he had round his neck, when he took it off we had to scrub his neck to get it off there and the bandana is in a sorry state, but not as bad as the Christmas stocking which ended up with a pot of slime(the green sticky stuff) tipped in it

My children had loads of fun playing with the putty but goodness only knows what's in it. Slime sounds fab!
