Somebody please help me - my washing machine stinks !!!

Being newly pregnant it's making me feel really sick !!

It's had a thorough clean, but every time I open the door it permeates through the kitchen. The smell is still there an hour later (well, to me anyway !!)

We've cleaned the filters, run a cleaning product through it, cleaned all the seals... I'm stuck as to what else I can do !!
Am off out in a min, but will really appreciate any ideas.

take out the drawer and wash it and the bit it fits into

put it back in and run a 90ºC wash with no laundry in

and if you use liquid or gel detergent consider a switch to powder or tablets which leave less gunk

Try running a 90 C wash with no clothes and soda crystals in the drawer instead of powder

Similar to other recommendations -- run a wash at 90 with no laundry in but with biological powder and bleach. Not fabulous for the environment but you only need to do it once every couple of months.

is the drainage pipe ok? Our got a bit wonky once and dirty water was draining back into it. That really did stink.

my washing machine ony does a 60 degree wash- is that hot enough?

What make is it? I have heard of this prob on Hotpoints... not sure what causes it but have read a lot of reviews f people complaining about it.

its an electrolux - i did the soda crystls on a 95 degree wash and it smelled ok for a couple of dsys, but the stench is now back again

next job - dp to check the drainage pipe !!

it smells like stagnant water....yum. I had the same problem on my last machine, which was a hotpoint, but thinking about it I never cleaned the filters or seals etc !!
