Ds has been doing a few chores to earn money. Today he asked if he could clean the toilet but I'm not sure I want him let loose on my loo!! He's 6!! Obviously I wouldn't let him use bleach or anything like that but I suppose I could give him some damp kitchen roll and get him his own child-size rubber gloves. Any suggestions?

When he leaves home and has his own toilet to clean.
There must be something else you can find for him to do.

DS aged 5 helps me with the cleaning, but only dusting and polishing, and he switches hoover on and off for me. I would never let him clean the toilet even without bleach.

There are plenty of other things for him to do, yes. It was just that he asked to do this particular job and I wondered what others thought. I'll let him carry on with the laundry for now and maybe get him to try and keep his bedroom tidy!!
