This may sound like a strange thing but here goes. Our car windows get really steamed up to the point that we cant see out of them at times we open the window and even put the air con or heatng on but to no avail I washed the window inside because it seemed there was some kind of film over them especially the window screen. Looking around at other cars they dont seem to have the same problem. I really would like a solution as its dangerous we have had it valeted a couple of times so Im not sure if there was some sort of polish on the cloth they used on the windows its a nightmare. Does anyone else have this problem?

Do you have a VW?

We have a Golf and have had this problem in v cold weather, usually when driving at 70mph on motorway and suddenly can't see a thing. It is very scary.

My mum said she read somewhere that there is a prob with some VW's and it is something to do with the aircon / heating and some particular setting. Sadly she did not keep the article...

Oh btw this is only the windscreen this happens on, not the side windows (I think, has been over a year now since it happened).
