There's something dead in my kitchen - HELP!

It's beginning to stink. I've looked under the cupboards and the only place I can think it is is behind the fridge.

Seeing as it is now obviously doing some decomposing and I can't really move the fridge v. easily, what are my options here? The smell is currently not immediately apparent but nonetheless pretty stinky in that area of the kitchen.

I think there is something you can get to mask the smell - I spoke to our local council recently as we had mice and I wanted to know what we could do if we put down poison and then they died and we couldn't find them. The pest control person said there was something you could do - I'm sure someone will know the name or you could call your council, mine were very friendly and helpful as there was a 4 week wait for a visit (how ridiculous is that) and they gave me lots of advice.

ohhh - i had this problem. I mouse died on top of my fridge, but as it is integrated and i can't get the ridge off, I could not get to it. The only helpful thing i can tell you is that the smell will go away as its tiny carcass dries out! YUK - i know.

I soaked paper towels in vinegar and plugged them into the gap beterrn the top of the coving and the ceiling - it kept the smell away and after a couple of weeks i removed them and there is no smell anymore.

I filled up a sprayer with neat white vinegar and kept it near by for the odd squoosh in that general direction, and got a plug in anti tobacco airfreshner which also helped.

It will go away - not nice though. I sympathise
