new washing machine?

I'm looking for a new washing machine- exciting I know!
I want one with a big drum. 3DD's, loads of pink things to wash.
Just wondering waht people would recommend

I have a mid range Bosch. 7kg drum so larger than some but not as big as others. It was more £££ than a Hotpoint/Whirlpool etc equivalent but I have had no reliability problems with it.

I had an all singing all dancing £600 LG one before that which looked the part and had all the bells and whistles butu it died after 2.5yrs .

The only thing I'd change about my machine is the spin speed. I have a 1200 but in hindsight I should've gone for a least the 1400 to save on drying time/costs.

I have Daewoo - bought 2yrs ago, used very heavily, 7kg drum, 1400 spin.

I would definitely go for a basic/mid range model from a good quality brand than a space age one from a cheaper brand.

My (allegedly) superdooper LG had a million and one programmes on it, when in reality most people only use 3 or 4 (me included). So my advice would be to look at what you NEED from your machine and get the best quality one you can afford.

Miele make the best washing machines IME/O. They last forever and ever and ever!

MIL has one that's about 10 years old and still works faultlessly and I've lived with one couple of times in rented accommodation, both were 10 - 15 years old and still problem free.

Mine is only 2 1/2 but I've not had a single problem with it yet. Miele offer free parts and labour for 5 or 10 years (depending on the model), I don't know of another manufacturer that is confident enough to do that!

Would second Norktastic - Miele been good for us

Don't be tempted by Haier. They're very, very cheap but equally shit.

Our landlady put one in our last flat and we must have had the repair man out every four to six weeks.
