Can anyone receommend an upright vacuum cleaner please?

I've got wooden and carpeted floors so I need soemthing that can do both well. Have been loyal to Dyson for a long time and am wondering if the new ball thingie is any good.

I tried out the ball thingy one on a display and it was pretty good. I'm loyal to Dyson too but my current model put me off a bit as it was heavy, the new ones are really light and much handier. Good luck.
