Babysteppers Pick your day or just shine your sink if you're a bit all over the place.

Missions seem a bit in USA time so we may be in Zone 4 or 5 and 1 so....Go shine a sink til all on Kelly time

Hello All

We are back from visiting. it is my mission to tidy and take decorations down today.

Hope you all had a good xmas.

ludaslovinallthelights · 29/12/2008 12:25

Oh and PLEASE don't talk to me about LEGO My DH has more of it than we know what to do with! He has set up an Ebay shop and buys and sells it. DS got waaay too much lego for xmas....Star Wars lego to be precise...I am wondering who DH really bought it for!

I was sorting out the washer when I noticed our old tatty cat was looking...well...worse than usual in the corner of he basket. I stroked her and talked to her and I felt her pass away.

She was 16.5 and had become well, old and tatty really. I knew it was coming and I wanted her to pass in her basket rather than on an examining table. Still, it's sad really.

DH dug a grave and popped her in it, Ed want's to grow flowers on it in the spring.

So, Godspeed Florence, RIP

ShannaraTiger · 29/12/2008 14:23

Grouchy for your news, at least you were with her when she passed away.
Ruby £99. New car, v. nice.
Luda hope you had a nice christmas. Isn't it abit early to take teh decs down? We're doing our5s next weekend.
DS is asleep so we still haven't been out, haven't found tape measure either.
I've put the clean washing away though and had a general tidy and even managed a nap
Have a good afternoon everyone.

Awww grouchy how At least she was happy though.

Shanna I like to take them down at the end of the month, then we get 1 month of xmassyness and then I can get on with things. I like to have my living room back too!

Ruby ooooh new car! lucky you....what kind are you getting?

swanriver · 29/12/2008 15:28

Our cat disappeared one day four years ago, after behaving very oddly, and although we looked everywhere for her she was nowhere to be found. In the winter we found a few traces of her in the flowerbed when the vegetation died back - she had obviously decided to hide somewhere when she was ready to die and she had completely returned to nature. It was very very sad, but I felt glad she had not died at the Vet's. I still think her of her she was a such an affectionate but shy slightly neurotic cat about 17 yrs, quite different from our new cat (9 mths)who is a marmalade frisky fellow. The children still say 'our cat's gone to heaven' - I think she was the first person they knew to go there.

Wolfcub · 29/12/2008 16:35

hello all

RIP Florence

Mad hope it all went ok at the hospital

Hi all.

Hope you all had a great Christmas. We did!

House is a TIP though and massive of little toys all over the place TSK.

First off: Tackle washing pile.

grouchyoscar · 29/12/2008 18:47

Hello again

Thanks for the kind thoughts for Florence. She will be missed and she's in a better place now (moggy heaven). It's odd only seeing 2 in the basket. It was really strange knowing the moment when she'd passed and the little spark of what made her Florrie had left. Wasn't my cat any more

Thought I'd fill you in on last week's animal story (dog in local beck) I phoned it into the local rag and they must have been slow on copy as it made the front page ! Today, the story was syndicated to the morning regional paper. Somehow I think the poor dog will get a new loving home for 2009

Oh Mad is DS1 on the mend, what an awful experience for you all.

Dh and Ed are bickering so I better go mediate. TTFN

grouchyoscar · 29/12/2008 18:48

Oh, Ruby might nick your resolutions btw, they are pretty good

Wolfcub · 29/12/2008 19:43

agree that your resolutions are good ones ruby. I need to sit down and seriously think about what I want out of the next year both workwise and personally, time is flying by and I am standing still.

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 29/12/2008 19:55

Evening all

Groucy It is so hard watching a beloved pet go - Snowey one of ours died when I was pregnant with DS2 - gof it broke my heart. RIP Florance

Luda I have the decorations down inside too - the boys were beening naughty and throwing baubles this afternoon - tireness got the better of them

Ruby I think your resolutions are fantastic. I will look at something similar and discuss with DH.

Sorry I am so tired I forgot the rest. DS1's break is aligned, but they wouldnt give us any different medication for him - we are shattered beyond shattered. All up at 5am this morning, he only went to sleep at midnight.

He has just gone to bed with screaming of it hurts mummy - I want to sleep standing up. I am so hoping for a full nights kip. I think I will resport to our GP's tomorrow if he is still in this much pain.

I have done the ironing
washer is on again
house needs a general going over
floors meed moping

these things and more can wait until tomorrow
