We need to get a new bed. A really good one.

Will a divan always be better than a bedstead with a mattres?

Can you get a frame to go around a divan?

What are the best makes of bed?

Is a memory foam or sprung mattress best?

All advise greatfully received.

It is such a personal choice, but we researched beds last year when DS was having terrible back problems.

Lots of sites (& MNers) recommended and individually coil sprung mattress with a good layer of memory foam on top. These are expensive, but it is soooo comfy and if DS gets a back twinge he runs to lie down on his bed (having slept on the floor for months as he couldn't stand his old mattress & couldn't get comfyt anywhere).

Go and bounce on all the beds in the sales!!
